Introducing Karla

 Psychologist

Karla is a Psychologist at Embracing Self Psychological Services. She is passionate about helping people connect to their authentic self: to heal, grow, and flourish.

Karla uses a client centred approach, seeking to adapt each treatment to the individual’s strengths and differences. She draws across different modes of practice (incl. ACT, DBT, and CBT) to assist clients in their goals and desired therapeutic outcomes.

Karla has experience supporting clients with many different presentations, including anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma. She enjoys working across the lifespan, and especially supporting children and young adults. She is particularly interested in understanding neurodivergent presentations (incl. Autism, ADHD, and Tourette’s) and neuroaffirming practices to best support these clients.
